Abbey’s 12th

Author: Donna  |  Category: Family

She’s been celebrating for about 2 weeks now…a slumber party a couple of weeks ago, out with the family to the Melting Pot for dessert and a trip to Build-A-Bear, the Winter Jam concert last Friday. The girl knows how to celebrate! We can’t believe our baby turned 12 yesterday…only one more year before the official teen years begin. We see glimpses of that teenager already, and most of the time we’re happy about it (grin). Here are a few more pictures to enjoy…

Abbey’s party…she was so nice to her momma and only invited a few friends this time!

Having a neighborhood scavenger hunt on Saturday morning…bringing back ice cubes was tricky ;)

Us girls at the Melting Pot

flaming chocolate and marshmallows anyone?? Yum…

Wow, what a young lady Abbey has turned out to be…she’s beautiful with her birthday cake!! I love that picture + the one of Abbey, Marley & you, Donna!I think I recognize Kendall (blonde) at the party, right? Is the girl on the far right a friend from church? Granpa and I can’t believe Abbey’s 12, either! See you very soon, guys, in NC!! Love, Granma

I can still see Abbey sitting on top of a Christmas present and holding her hands out saying, “Ta-Da” until we all paid attention to her. She has always had a way to get attention and love. That was how I knew she would be okay when the triplets were born. And Abbey has been a wonderful big sister… just as she will be for Lainey. I just hope that Abbey will still be our “Abbey girl” when she is a teenager.

Hope to see you tomorrow to hug you and Randy before you go get my new grandchild !!!

One week or 7 days or 168 hours or 10,080 minutes or 604,800 seconds… whatever way you look at it – it is God’s perfect timing for this miracle of Lainey.
