The history of…

the blue laundry basket!

I got some comments/questions about the picture of Lainey in the blue laundry basket, asking did I REALLY have it long enough to have pics of all my kids in it. So, I went looking through my albums and here ya’ go. Forgive the photos, this was before the age of digital (how did we ever survive?)

Here’s Abbey, my 12 year old, enjoying some playtime in the basket? It took years for her to grow into those cheeks.

And, here is Payton, Marley and Ethan (l to r) all squeezed in together! Payton looks concerned, Marley looks content, and Ethan looks like he’s thinking of something naughty to do.

I’d love to know exactly how many baby clothes have passed through this basket…so far! :)

Loved the older pictures !!! I am so glad you found them. If you look at Randy’s baby pictures you will see the same pudgy cheeks that Abbey had. The trips have the same looks today… Payton concerned, Marley content and Ethan up to something. You may have to have the clothes basket “bronzed” for history sake. I now have “ammunition” for birthday cards. LOL

I love it! You should really have it bronzed……

That is so cool! I love these old pictures and this fun “tradition”!!! I am with Janet, bronzing is an excellent idea.

Oh yeah!!!! It seems like yesterday that our grandkids were that little!! Those were the days…Abbey with her adorable “cheeks”…and you and Ann are right…Payton still looks concerned, Marley is content AND Ethan, well, what can I say..always up to something!! (Ha!) I don’t know how long it took you to find these 2 “vintage” pictures, but it takes me quite awhile to look up older photos, with all of the albums this granma has!!

Now, about how many baby clothes have passed thru that blue (should be bronzed!) basket…I’d guess probably a gazillion!!! These 2 pictures have made our day! Love ya, Mom & Dad

Wow..that is 12 years of serious cuteness! :-) Gotta love the laundry baskets. It’s really amazing how the best toys are things that weren’t intended as such!
