After going back and forth on whether she wanted to cut her hair, she finally made the decision to cut!
I think having her bff go first is what pushed her over the edge.
She donated 8 inches, which we are sending to an organization called Children With Hair Loss. Â They make wigs for kids who suffer from several hair-loss related condition, never charge them a cent.
I took her to a hair salon that’s connected to our Acrofitness gym. Â One of her coaches, Rachel, cut her hair :)
Her first thought? Â It’s so short!!
I think she looks older. Â Which will match her “8 going on 16” attitude. Â ;)

Proud of you, Lainey!! Nothing has changed, except your hair is a little shorter…but still looks gorgeous!! Love the comment 8″ going on 16″!! I have to agree with you on that one!! HA!! Some child will be wearing your beautiful hair soon…and loving it, and in no time at all, your hair will be really long again…it’s a “Win-Win Situation”!!! Love ya!

If anything, Lainey looks cuter. So wonderful for her to do this for others. Her hair can grow back and she can donate it again. With Lainey’s straight black hair… a lot of little girls will love their new hairdo. You all might not know this, but one of my cousins has a disease that causes her not to have hair so she has worn wigs like the ones that will be made out of Lainey’s hair for all her life. Way to go Lainey Girl !
