Our wonderful crew of kids…waiting on the last crew member.
We took our last ride out on the boat this past weekend, then pulled her out of the water. She’s at the shop, being winterized as I type. Something we never had to do in Florida!
I wonder what Dylan will think of the boat? Lainey was a little wary at first, but it didn’t take her long to love it. Dylan has no clue how his life is about to change. Sometimes I look at Lainey and think about the kind of child she’d be if she were still in that orphanage. I watched her run down the driveway the other day, head back, arms and legs flailing and laughing the whole way. Pure joy. I cannot WAIT to see Dylan living his life the way he was meant to. The way all kids deserve to. How I wish all of the orphans in China could have that.

Okay…. so you made me cry !! I remember the first Easter Lainey came to my house and how she was amazed at the color of the azaleas. Another picture of her that I loved was when she was sitting in the grass and was enthralled by it. The one that gave me sheer joy to see was the picture of Lainey playing in the rain. Lainey’s life changed in such a wonderful positive way and she was not only introduced to beauty, nature, fun and love, but also to God.
All of this is what is waiting for Dylan. There is no way he could ever imagine the wonderful life he is going to have starting next week!!! You and Randy are such wonderful Christian parents to open up your hearts and home and family to Lainey and Dylan. I love you for being that way and I love my grandchildren, too.
I have to say that my heart does break for Tony and Dee Dee because I know how much they wanted to adopt (just as you all did and are doing), but even though they wanted to do the same thing and couldn’t, I know how thrilled they are that you all can. I love that Tony and Randy are so close and that you and Dee Dee are, too. And your children and theirs are such wonderful loving cousins…. God has indeed blessed us all.

We pulled our boat out of the water this past weekend too! We are going to be tearing down our boat house/dock this winter so we had to trailer it to a boat storage place for the first time.
OK, so I was on RainbowKids.com today and found 3 or 4 Chinese girls that I want to bring home. Want to go back with me??? :) Pray for our wisdom, please.

Well said, Ann!! I had tears too, while reading what Donna wrote. Each one of our grandchildren are a miracle from God. They all have been blessings thru the years. How we loved it when Abbey would spend the night with us when Donna was expecting the triplets. (She also spent some weekends with us at Lake Lure…what wonderful memories!) And soon, the triplets joined Abbey spending time with us…sooo many laughs! And when Lainey joined our family, how amazing she was going thru her surgeries and still coming out of it laughing and willing to wear her “no no’s”. As they say…”The best is yet to come”… Dylan is on his way, and from what we’ve seen and heard, he is such a sweet caring (not to mention adorable!!) little boy! The family will be complete and more loving than ever before…just cannot wait!!! All my friends tell me that I have such a caring and amazing daughter and son in law. Well, I already knew that many years ago and it too just keeps getting better!! God blessed our family and He continues to…God is certainly good!!!!
