Since our zoo trip on Monday, this is the only picture I’ve taken. Â I was walking (probably running) by the window and the colors stopped me in my tracks. Â God sure does paint a beautiful picture, huh?
This week has been one big ball o’ crazy. Â Really, it has. Â Everyday has had at LEAST 2 appointments/places to be/etc. and most days had more. Â Thursday was the biggest juggling act, thankfully Randy was able to help out with that day. Â This weekend, we’ve already had dinner with new friends (thanks, Bolt family!). Â Saturday is the church BBQ and then Marley, Payton, and Ethan’s first dance that night. Â Sunday is church, and then our much-anticipated family photo session that afternoon (no, I don’t have all the clothes yet, thanks for asking).
I’m a bit of a homebody…I like those days with nothing on the calendar. Â Nowhere to be, no reason to check my watch. Â Those days are rare lately. Â And, with Dylan’s surgery looming (4/26, in case you forgot), I can see those “normal” days coming to an end at least for a season.
Looking ahead, Monday is a nothing day. Â Whoop! Â Can’t say that about the rest of the week, though.
So, all this to say, life ain’t slowing down anytime soon so I’ve just gotta pull the camera out more often to capture these days. Â Like the country song says, one day I’ll miss all this. Â The house will be quiet, and I won’t have anyone asking me to take them anywhere. I’ll read books, wash MUCH less laundry, drive a vehicle that seats a normal amount of people rather than 11, and will probably go a whole day without wiping up a spill.
These days are hard, I’ll be honest. Â But, I wouldn’t trade them.

Beautiful sunset! I’m guessing it’s not a sunrise since I’m thinking you’re not up at the crack of dawn…or are you??? :)
I’m with you on the savoring those days with ‘nothing’ in them. They are too few and far between but when they are here I make the most of them.
Enjoy your weekend!

Ohhh!! That is a breathless moment…I would have to grab my camera, too! (Trying to capture a photo like this is difficult…it changes every second and you can miss this gorgeous pink, purple, blue, orange, believe me, I tried!) If I were you, I’d make a larger print, frame it and put it somewhere you can see it and just take a deep breath to appreciate God’s wonderful “painting”.
I guess you, Abbey and I have something in common…I’m a “homebody” too and love those days & weekends with no plans to go anywhere and you can do and go where you feel like. Take today, for instance, it’s 50 degrees out and you can feel the dampness…a good day to stay home, turn on the gas logs and cook a pork roast in the oven and enjoy the aroma!!! =)
Hope you come up with a color scheme for the photo…maybe soft colors for spring…girls in pink and guys in lt. blue? (Just a thought)
Enjoy the BBQ…I’m sure you will!! Tell the trips that we’ll be thinking of them at their first dance and hope they have a really good time!
“Here’s to Monday”…your “Nothing Day”…but if you’re like me, you’ll find SOMETHING to do!!
Yeah, you don’t want all this “chaos” to end too soon, cuz you’ll miss all the “coming and going” and wish it was back. Love you guys!!!!!!!
