First, we took Hello Kitty and Spiderman downtown, to score treats from the local businesses on Main street.
Perfect weather, lots and lots of kids.
Come nightfall, Marley’s friend Kylie arrived while the other kids were busy getting themselves transformed.
The whole gang…we dropped them off at a friend’s house, since our neighborhood isn’t so great for trick or treating. We walked the little kids around there, too.
Abbey’s group, complete.
We now have more candy in this house than I care to admit. It’ll be a daunting task to make sure nobody eats themselves silly. Myself included!
Next up, preparing for Thanksgiving!!

You guys never cease to amaze us each Halloween, with your funny, clever costumes!! Lainey & Dylan, you’re both cute as can be in your “Hello Kitty” & “Spiderman” outfits!! Marley & Kylie, love the nerd costumes, especially the glasses!! Payton, how FUNNY you are in the hippy outfit!! Ethan, lookin’ a bit pale & scarey, dude!! And Abbey & friend….the “Thing 1 & Thing 2” is amazing…just LOVE the blue hair!! Randy…the hairy hat…hillarious!!! Ok, Donna…no photos of you! Obviously no costume…you were the designated Photographer….HA!!!
Oh yeah, “preparing for Thanksgiving”…that makes me hungry!! Let us know what to bring, etc. Can’t wait!! I don’t think I’ve seen a year FLY by so fast at this one!! They say the older you get, the faster the time goes! I’ve been retired almost a year (Dec. 30th) and it’s all been a wonderful speedy 2011!!!

You have three times more kids in your one family than came to our door trick-or-treating. That’s right, only two little boys stopped by. It had started raining by then so I guess the few other kids in our neighborhood went to the mall or someplace where they could stay dry. If I’d known they were the only two coming by, I’d have given them a whole bag of candy each. I love all of the outfits but please tell me that Abbey has on a wig. I don’t know what you’d have to do to your hair to get it that shade of blue.

love that you live in a town that really gets “into” making the children happy. It reminds me of Knightdale when I was little (not now).
The outfits were so cute and as usual the older kids really show their creativity in making up their own “costumes”. The “nerds” were funny. Ethan scarey. Payton and his collection of wigs (where did he get the dreads?) always funny. I also loved “thing 1 & 2” with the awful blue hair.
The only costume I wasn’t sure about was the “hairy” hat one that Randy was wearing. LOL
Thanksgiving and Christmas…. time does go faster the older you get. :(
