1992. Married 6 months. In our first home…a single-wide trailer that we were renting. With us and two big dogs, we were kinda squeezed in there, but happy as could be.
1996. First child, Abbey, was born after a couple of years of infertility.
1998. Second, third, and fourth children were born. Marley, Payton, and Ethan. Fertility treatments kicked in nicely this go round. Yes, I’m still holding on to the baby weight here and we both look exhausted.
2002. 10th Anniversary trip to San Francisco.
2006. Living in Florida…we followed Randy’s job to Florida from NC in 2004. Assuming we’d be there a couple of years, tops.
2008. Lainey joined our family. Still in Florida.
2010. And, then Dylan. We moved back to NC this same year, and rented a home on the water. Our home in Florida was still on the market.
2012. Back in NC, in our new home, our FL home finally sold. Feeling very blessed!!
It’s been an incredible 20 years, and in some ways it’s flown by. But, when I think of all that we’ve been through together…wow. It’s been a crazy, fun ride. Can’t wait to see what’s next…

Happy Anniversary!!! I still remember going out to a restaurant with you guys and you having to leave at a certain time to go home for Donna’s fertility shot! Who would have known that night that down the road you’d be blessed with 6 kids!!! AWESOME! Great post–great pictures! I’m going to forward to small group so they can also watch Randy’s hair progression over the years. :)

Can I just point out that my lovely wife honestly gets prettier in every picture? How lucky am I that I have a wife who truly gets better with age?

Can I just point out that Randy’s vision has gotten progressively worse as the years have gone by? lol… Thanks, sweetie :) And, you know I much prefer the shaven head look…honestly!

You summed up 20 years well!!! Twenty years seems like a long time, but it flies when you’re having fun….and busy!!!
Can’t help but notice the faces on Ethan and Payton in the 1998 shot…they look like they can’t stand to look at each other…so funny!
I remember taking that picture in 2006…it was Thanksgiving weekend…and the kids feet were so cold!!!! And the photos of Lainey (red bow…so cute!) and Dylan are adorable!!
Can I just point out that after 20 years of marriage and 6 kids, homeschooling, etc….you BOTH look terrific!!! HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!

Loved the pictures. You and Randy look like “kids” in that first picture. You all lived “out in the sticks” as the saying goes. The 2 dogs you had then are now buried on our land and I remember each of them and their day of passing away.
You two have been through so much, but you have gone through it with love, respect, laughter, tears and all with God at the center. You have given me so much. Randy has been a wonderful son for me and in marrying Donna has given me a daughter I never had. Then as if that wasn’t enough…. you gave me Abbey, Marley, Payton, Ethan, Lainey and Dylan ! This Momma’s heart couldn’t be more filled with love.
What will the next 20 years hold??? Only God knows, but I just pray I am here to see it evolve.
Happy Anniversary and we love you all !

Loved all of the pictures but I have a hard time remembering when Randy had that much hair. Also, I think it would be called “regression” rather than “progression” of his hairline but bald is in in some places so he is just being fashionable. He’s still just a happy kid in an older body and no one wants him to change. Congratulations to both on 20 wonderful years and all those great children.
