This is our dog. His full name is Jackaroo – which is the Aussie term for a cowboy in training. He’s an Australian Shepherd mix, afterall.
He’s always been a very healthy dog, hardly any issues at all. Jack turned 10 last month, and very soon after tore his left, back ACL. Grand.
He had surgery two days ago, and it went very well. According to the nurse, he was a star patient and we’re thankful he’s leaving the bandage alone. No need for a cone so far! We’ve got bandage checks, stitch removals, and a series of glucosamine shots ahead of us.
Never a dull moment around here.

Jack is such a good dog and I hate that he has had to go through this surgery. I was concerned about the surgery with his age, but he seems to be doing great now.
Give him a hug from us.

Ahhh yes. The 7th child. AJ, our beagle, still mopes around here because we ‘replaced’ his 4th child status with Nadia. But we love our dogs!
Hope he continues to recover well.

Awwww…Jack!!! So glad to hear that his surgery and recuperation are going so well. I sure hope this doesn’t happen to your dad, as he and Jack are exactly the same age!!! (HA!)
I don’t think you could have found a “calmer” pooch if you had looked for 10 years!! I for one absolutely adore him!! ((( ))) (hugs to Jackie!!) No doubt in my mind that he’s being spoiled by our 6 grands!!

Did Dylan pick out his bandage wrap? Look like one that he had.
