My post titles seem to revolve around numbers lately!
Lainey has been with us for 7 years, as of 2/18!
I’m not gonna say life with her is always easy. Â It’s not. Â She’s got a strong personality.
She’s constantly “on”, if you know what I mean.
She needs to know, be involved in, and in control of EVERYTHING.
I’m just assuming that the hard days now mean easy days when she’s a teenager.
Don’t laugh at me.
Despite challenges, she’s our girl and I’ll never doubt her place in our family.
Because of the kids work schedules, and Randy’s travel schedule, we weren’t able to go out to dinner. Â Yet.
We’ll pull that together asap.
She’s in love with all things American Girl right now, so the books choice was easy. Â She’s working hard on reading these days, and I suspect she’ll have her head in these chapter books as soon as she can.
Love you, Lainey Q. Â Happy 7th Family Day :)

I looked at our “Clark Family” calendar the other day and realized that I didn’t comment about Lainey’s “Gotcha Day” on Feb. 18th. I felt bad and now I can make up for it!!
Lainey, I just cannot imagine how life was in our family before you came along. I can tell you one thing, it wasn’t quite complete, as we knew there was a little girl who needed to join us to help us find things that we just could not find!! If anyone in your house KNOWS where anything and everything is…it’s you!! We are so very proud of how you have grown into a beautiful girl, so smart and can do any craft that you put your mind to…not to mention, and this is a biggie…your acrobatic talent!!! Girl, I could go on and on…and I practically did!!! Love you to pieces, Lainey Girl!!! A belated Happy Gotcha Day!!!

Lainey is just as much my true granddaughter as all the rest are. She may have been born somewhere else and to someone else, but God knew she would be placed in a wonderful and loving family… and we are all so thankful to Him for orchestrating the process.
I will never forget the day she finally could say “Gram” and how it filled my heart.
