I’m a Christmas baby…born a week before Christmas eve. :) We had a normal day with schooling and such, and then all went out to Chili’s for dinner to celebrate my I’ll-never-tell-rd birthday. Between ordering and our food, I opened my gifts. The kids gave me a beautiful silver necklace with a heart. On the back, it says “Mom has our hearts”. LOVE it!! Randy surprised me with a new point-and-shoot camera, a Nikon CoolPix! It’s tiny enough to fit in my purse, which I’ve been missing. My old one is just about dead, and there are times when it’s difficult to lug around the wonderful, but big, D-300.Â

Today, Abbey told me she wanted to make a birthday cake for me. I didn’t help at all, other than dividing the batter into two pans and helping to make the frosting. It’s beautiful! Right after I’m done typing, guess what I’m having a slice of?Â
No doubt, I’m a blessed woman.Â

Happy Birthday Donna! I actually remembered your birthday being around this time in the year, and I hope this year with Lainey around, it brings you a great deal more JOY! God Bless and hopefully we’ll see you this holiday season.

Happy Birthday to our Christmas baby!! I remember bringing you home from the hospital on Dec. 21st and immediately putting you in your bassinet and near the Christmas tree, as you were our Christmas gift from God and I never wanted to forget that!!
You have been a blessing all these years and you have never ceased to totally amaze us with your cheerleading, UNC degree, ECU degree, High Kicking Heels, your beautiful wedding, your excellent choice of a husband (!) the 5 beautiful grandchildren you have given us, your homeschooling, your devotion to you family and church, and your patience to take on all that you do….we love you! Wanted to say also that I love the comments from the grandparents. My parents and inlaws very rarely check our blog unless I tell them to. I think it’s wonderful that your family checks in with you!!
